INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN UZBEKISTAN

On March 2, the Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children conducted a game based seminar for parents of children with special needs.

The seminar was conducted in the form of a role-play and parents learned about the difference in perceptions of all persons. For example, all parents received the same instructions on the assignment. What happened as a result? All had different results and this made many parents think. We all understand and see the world differently.

On May 23, by the initiative of the Parent’s Club and the Regional Coordinator in Khorezm region, the training was conducted for 30 parents of children with special educational needs in the Resource Center in Urgench.

The training was conducted by the teacher of the Institute for advanced training of teachers
in Khorezm region Navbahor Salaeva (psychologist, Doctor of Science, graduated from Moscow State University, Russia). During the training parents received responses to various questions related to the education of “special” children in school environment and the
adaptation in the society.

Moreover, the Institute for advanced training of teachers has signed the agreement to provide free psychological support for parents of children with special needs.
