INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN UZBEKISTAN

May 11, 2016 – theInternational Hotel Tashkent hosted the photo exhibition in honour of the Day of Europe as well as the 5th Anniversary of opening the EU Delegation in Tashkent, and dedicated to the activities and outcomes of the project support financed by the European Union.

Non-reciprocal 71 mln. Euro was allocated for the cooperation with Uzbekistan for 2007-2013 and 168 mln. Euro is planned to allocate for 2014-2020. The European Union financed and is financing development support projects in the field of education, public health, social services and others, and one of them is the project “Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs in Uzbekistan”.

During the exhibition the project team presented the activities of the project implemented in cooperation with the Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children (RCSAC), Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Health and others. Guests of the exhibition have become acquainted with the photography and success stories of the project beneficiary, student of the inclusive classroom Artem Saprykin.

The photo exhibition dedicated to the partnership between “European Union and Uzbekistan” was held from May 13 to May 20 in Tashkent House of Photography.
