INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN UZBEKISTAN

Inclusive education in mass media:
prospects and issues

The seminar dedicated to the issues on coverage of inclusive education in mass media was held on November 16th at the Resource Center for Inclusive Education of school # 324 located in Tashkent.

Should it be noted, the discussion turned out to be alive, interesting and useful. The journalists received sufficient information about the activity of the project, the concept of “children with special needs” and subtlety of reporting this topic. 
The most interesting part was when journalists had an opportunity to interact with the parents of the children participating in the project. They shared their success history; change in behavior, psychological, intellectual and emotional development of children had once again proved the necessity of inclusive education and social inclusion in general. Within the framework of the project this was the first training for the representatives of mass media. Such trainings are intended to be held in 4 other regions of the project coverage (Samarkand, Urgench, Termez and Namangan) in January, 2016.
