INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN UZBEKISTAN

On 20th of September, a final Fifth Steering Committee meeting of the «Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs in Uzbekistan» Project, devoted to the discussion of the project achievements and issues on the sustainability of project results will be held at the National Centre of Social Adaptation of Children.

Opening remarks will be made by Ms. Vasila Alimova, Director of NCSAC, Mr. Eduard Stiprais Ambassador of the Delegation of EU to the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Mr. Evgeny Ivanov, Project Director, Human Dynamics (Austria).

During the meeting international and national experts of the project presented final outcomes on the each Project component, such as:

1. Policy framework: Long-term National Strategy on Inclusive Education;
2. Capacity development: Pre-Service and In-Service teacher training on inclusive education;
3. Public awareness.

Ways of the sustainability of the Project outcomes will be presented by Ms. Vasila Alimova, NCSAC Director, which is the main beneficiary of the Project.
